Overview:

Business Staffing of America, Inc. is expert in recruiting hard-to-find healthcare practitioners, especially in rural areas nationwide. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Government Contract Specialist to join our team. As a Government Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and managing government contract opportunities for our organization. Your expertise in government procurement and contract management will be instrumental in securing and executing successful contracts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential government contract opportunities aligned with our organization's goals and capabilities.
  2. Review and interpret solicitation documents, including requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotes (RFQs), and invitations for bids (IFBs).
  3. Prepare and submit comprehensive and compliant bids, proposals, and other necessary documentation in response to government solicitations.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and compile required information, such as technical specifications, pricing details, and past performance data.
  5. Participate in pre-proposal conferences, site visits, and other relevant meetings to gather information and clarify requirements.
  6. Conduct contract negotiations with government agencies to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements throughout the contract lifecycle.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contract-related documentation, including amendments, modifications, and correspondence.
  9. Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and milestones, and proactively address any issues or discrepancies.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to ensure seamless execution and delivery of government contracts.
  11. Stay updated on government procurement policies, regulations, and industry trends to enhance our competitive edge and optimize contract opportunities.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, procurement, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Federal Contracts Manager) are a plus.
  2. Proven experience in government contract management, including proposal development, contract negotiation, and compliance.
  3. In-depth knowledge of government procurement regulations, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific guidelines.
  4. Strong analytical and research skills to identify and evaluate potential contract opportunities.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise proposals and contractual documents.
  6. Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  7. Proficient in using contract management software and tools.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  9. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with government officials, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  10. Integrity and adherence to ethical standards in handling sensitive and confidential information.
