Bushwick Grind Cafe is a "mom & pop shop" in the business of community. Food and beverage is the product, but make no mistake, we are here to nourish the souls of humans on both sides of the counter. We seeking an experienced coffee professional, with a drive to create extraordinary experiences for guests.

Responsibilities include operating coffee brewing equipment, grinders, scales, timers, water towers, point of sale systems • Restocking all areas of the store including coffee bar, condiment cart, backroom, basement, and bathroom • Attends quarterly collaboration meetings with store manager • Learning and perfecting latte art • Provides guests with a memorable experience • Responsible for taking guest orders and ensuring a complete and accurate order • Responsible for working in an environment where efficiency, service, and quality must be maintained - crafts each drink with care • Receives deliveries and checks for quality of items delivered as well as accuracy of delivery based on invoice • Keeps store clean, stocked, and organized including but not limited to pastry case, condiment station, retail wall, r, bathroom • Displays a positive attitude, passion for coffee and cafe culture.

Qualifications

• 3 or more working experience as a barista in specialty coffee
• Ability identify under, over and well-extrated coffee brewed via common brew methods
• Ability dial in and troubleshoot espresso
• Latte Art is a plus
• Must have NYS Food Handlers Certification
• Has high integrity with a great attendance record
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
