We are looking for a Human Resources generalist who can focus on Benefits/401k, Worker’s Compensation/Safety, and Leave Management. As a member of our HR team, this role will also help with day to day generalist support including but not limited to employee relations/conflict resolution, HRIS support, manager coaching, govt. compliance, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain relationships and negotiate rates with all insurance partners and other benefits vendors. Maintain all benefits plans in our Paycom HRIS.
• Work with employees to resolve benefits questions or billing/coverage issues, qualifying events, and claim creation.
• Assist in new employee onboarding benefits enrollments and education
• Administer and maintain 401k benefits between vendor and employees, as well as complete annual government compliance forms.
• Prepare for and carry out annual benefits open enrollment efficiently and accurately using our Paycom HRIS.
• Administer and maintain all employee leave claims (FMLA, Short/Long Term Disability, plus supplemental insurance claims such as Accident, Illness, Hospital Indemnity).
• Complete and carry out National Medical Support Notices.
• Create and manage all Worker’s Compensation and employee injury claims, and maintain and prepare annual OSHA 300 and 300a forms company-wide.
• Work with safety coordinators at each Burt Brothers location to educate employees on safe work practices, following all OSHA guidelines. Prepare and carry out quarterly safety coordinator training meetings.
• Other general Human Resources duties including but not limited to employee relations/conflict resolution, answering HR related phone calls from employees and managers, maintaining and updating employee profiles in Paycom, assisting the HR Director with employee engagement and other strategic projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or closely related field, or at least five years of experience in a Human Resources role
• One to two years of experience in Benefits and/or Leave Management is preferred
• Experience with Paycom HRIS is preferred but not required
• Finding creative solutions to uncommon issues, thinking outside the box
• Excellent customer service skills, professionalism, accountability, conscientiousness, and ownership mentality are required
