Legal Recruiting & Development Assistant

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Contract Legal Recruiting & Development Assistant is an administrative position supporting the Legal Recruiting team and is responsible for assisting the overall administration of the attorney recruiting process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to – support of the Summer Associate Program, pre-event preparation, maintenance of the applicant tracking system and recruiting statistics, and general administrative responsibilities as assigned.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent proofing and communication (oral and written) skills
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, a very strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor
  • An interest in the legal profession is preferred.
  • Technical experience should include MS Word and Excel.
  • Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships among lawyers and staff to achieve results.
  • This position requires a high level of collaboration with attorneys and staff and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.
Assist in the Summer Associate Program, including:
  • Process paperwork throughout the summer
  • Create and update OneNote binders as needed
  • Assist in preparation of summer associate reviews
  • Monitor assignment database
  • Upload photos to and maintain online summer photo account
  • Create summer event invitations and track RSVPs
  • Make conference room reservations and catering orders
  • Create nametags for events
  • Track candidates from summer recruiting events
  • Assist with planning of Summer Associate Program events

Assist in the On Campus Interview Recruiting process, including:
  • Update and maintain applicant tracking database
  • Prepare shipments for On Campus Interviews, if needed
  • Create OneNote binders for interviewers
  • Maintain spreadsheets for tracking purposes
  • Assist with in-office interviews and follow-up events, as needed
  • Scan documents and save to Document Management System and ViDesktop
  • Other duties as assigned by Campus Recruiting Team

OTHER FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary)
  • Prepare and distribute department materials
  • Assist in meeting support
  • Accurate and timely entry of departmental data into various databases
  • Maintain files
  • Prepare check requests
  • Maintain departmental calendars
  • Provide event support
  • General administrative duties including filing, copying, and document preparation
  • Process invoices and expenses in ChromeRiver
  • Other duties as assigned
