Client Services Manager (VP or SVP - level dependent on experience)

Burke Client Services is adding to their leadership team. As a member of the Client Services management team, you will be responsible for directing a team of Account Executives (AEs) in achieving sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals with particular focus on developing the people, strategies, and tactics that drive new business. Additionally, you will lead and participate in department goals and initiatives, 

Some of What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and motivate a team of Account Executives (local and/or remote) with humility, agility, and an emotionally intelligent approach and style.
  • Coach and lead discussions on sales goals and ongoing performance with team members to include maintaining our CRM system, conducting annual business reviews to assess past year performance, and discuss sales plan for the upcoming year.
  • Provide performance feedback and coaching, including annual performance reviews, and when necessary, partner with the Head of Client Services and Human Resources to manage corrective action and performance plans
  • Provide advice and counsel on sales and service approaches, proposals, and presentations.
  • Develop and implement strategies and plans to develop new business, including leading selected marketing and sales efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Client Services Leadership team in the development and execution of overall Client Services strategies and plans to ensure they are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Assign corporate leads to AEs based on client fit, experience, and other potential factors.
  • Assist in the recruiting and onboarding of new team members and their ongoing development.
  • Plan and manage the Burke presence at conferences (i.e., identifying corporate and client speakers, planning and hosting client events, following up on leads to ensure maximum ROI for the corporate investment).
  • Develop/nurture relationships with senior level clients in support of Burke Account relationship expansion.
  • Support AEs in the optimization of large and/or strategically significant pitches and proposals.
  • Work across the organization on internal initiatives, resource planning, pitch/proposal support.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the Client Services Sales Meeting and other internal and client facing events.
  • Provide input to the corporate marketing efforts by identifying best sales proposals and ideas, sharing case studies worthy of inclusion on the corporate website, and communicating with the Marketing Manager about AE marketing ideas and needs.
  • Serve on corporate committees and teams as needed/assigned by Senior Vice President, Head of Client Services.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA degree preferred or equivalent experience in marketing, marketing research, or related discipline.
  • Must have a minimum of 12 years of business experience, at least half in marketing research sales and client services.
  • Proven leadership skills and management experience.
  • Passion for coaching and developing people, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams. Successful sales record and demonstrated ability to develop sales strategies and execution of plans both personally and through others.
  • Experience analyzing and evaluating basic financial statements.
  • Corporate perspective when dealing with issues and making decisions.
