Burger in the Square is a long standing restaurant in the Roanoke Valley. We have been in operation since 1987 where most of that time was spent in the city market building. We have resided on Brambleton Ave for the past 14 years. Come join a great team!

Our restaurant is looking for friendly, welcoming and hard working front of house employees. Our FOH team members are the face and personality of our restaurant! So, we're looking to hire individuals who are interested in working with a team and helping to serve our customers with a positive and helpful attitude. We are a little different as we don‘t do table-side service, however we do check on our customers and make sure they’re enjoying the food and their time there. The successful candidate is responsible for performing routine FOH side work tasks and register work and will be required to work closely with other FOH staff as well as our kitchen staff.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers in the restaurant and take their orders accordingly while mentioning daily discounts and new items.
• Take call in orders.
• Manage the floor with 1-2 other FOH employees while making sure items are stocked for customers and food is being ran quickly and efficiently. .
• Mark, read and call out tickets accurately.
• Follow sanitary rules and procedures to ensure food safety such as washing hands and wearing gloves when needed in the kitchen.
• Follow health department procedures to ensure safety of food products.
• Answer customer questions and hand them to-go orders.
• Opening Prep/ Night Close Out.
• Take out the trash.
• Sweep/Mop your area
• Help prepare to-go orders with accuracy.
• Wash customers dishes as well as kitchen dishes quickly and efficiently throughout the shift.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour
