Duties

  • Performs the work of Journey Level, Power System Electrician without more than normal supervision.
  • Maintains, installs, repairs, and troubleshoots powerplant and mobile equipment.
  • Utilizes electrical equipment and applies knowledge of electrical circuitry.
  • Uses and maintains various machines, equipment, power, and hand tools associated with the Journey level Electrical trade.
  • Implements safe clearance procedures and safety standards.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, and manufacturer's instructions.
  • Operates high-voltage switches and related devices.
  • Works with medium and high voltage power, generation, and distribution.
