Duties
  • You will advise travelers on entitlements and responsibilities.
  • You will identify customer passport requirements or security clearances to process travel documents.
  • You will identify discrepancies in reconciling billing statements to resolve carrier issues.

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-6: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing solutions to travel and passport issues; 2) Monitoring work to determine compliance with travel contracts; 3) Using accounting techniques and research to investigate financial errors that need reconciliation or reconstruction of data; 4) Arranging transportation services using automated systems for travelers, including overseas; and 5) Review itineraries and other travel documents for completeness and accuracy.
To qualify for the GS-5: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting customers with travel and passport issues; 2) Arranging transportation services using automated systems for travelers; and 3) Review itineraries and other travel documents for completeness and accuracy.
To qualify for the GS-4: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience demonstrating progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-5: Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
GS-4: Successful completion of at least two full academic years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience

Additional information
This announcement uses the Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base in the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
