Buildskape is Hiring a Construction Project Manager Near Beaverton, OR

Buildskape is seeking a seasoned yet entrepreneurial, multi-faceted team player who is interested in joining us in a Project Management role. Founded in 2020, we are a rapidly growing commercial general contractor completing tenant improvement projects for institutional, governmental, non-profit, and private owner entities. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, a strong commitment to customer service, and significant commercial construction experience, especially with TI projects. 

Attributes we are looking for in the right candidate:

  • Integrity
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
  • A deep understanding of the commercial construction process from pre-construction through closeout.
  • The ability to collaboratively operate as a key member of a multi-faceted project team comprised of the project owner, design professionals, consultants, subcontractor partners, and AHJ representatives.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to process with an understanding of the cadence of commercial TI project phases and the patience and persistence to continually provide the highest level of service to our clients.

Specific skills we are looking for in the right candidate:

  • A strong understanding of the commercial construction process and the formal processes involved in successfully executing a commercial project (RFIs, Submittals, Inspections, Commissioning, Closeout, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents (plans, specifications, contracts, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to create and manage your own workflow to meet project goals and objectives.
  • Strong basic business math skills with the ability to understand, track, and clearly present project costs changes to management and owners.
  • A customer-centric attitude with the ability to understand and work with and for all personality types to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with Procore construction management software, primarily the Project Management tools and modules.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite including Teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications/Requirements:

  • College degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in commercial construction
