We are looking for an eligible candidate at our hidden omakase restaurant located in the heart of Waikiki. Our omakase is a subtle fusion of Japanese, Mexican, and local Hawaiian influences.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a candidate that either has sushi experience or willing to learn to help assist the omakase chef. Candidate must have a positive attitude, apt knife skills, strong work ethic, and is a team player.

Responsibilities:
- Assist sushi chef with preparing dishes based on recipes and uphold high standards.
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used .
- Maintain cleanliness and organization for all areas of the restaurant.
- Collaborate with the sushi chef to ensure smooth operations.
- Converse and give high quality customer service to all of our customers.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Stay updated on current industry trends and techniques.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and presentation
- Ability to handle and prepare raw fish safely
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of menu planning and recipe creation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards

- Food Handler's certification or willingness to obtain one
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
