Job Location: Southgate - West Seneca, NY
Position Type: Full Time, 12 Month
Salary Range: $19.97 - $29.95 Hourly

Description

Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center is seeking a full time Medical Office Administrative Assistant at our West Seneca location in the Southgate plaza. This position is responsible for providing administrative support & customer service in our busy Audiology clinic. Previous medical insurance & billing experience preferred. This position is scheduled for 37.5 hours a week: Mondays - Thursdays 8am - 4:30pm, Fridays 8am - 1:30pm. 

Essential Functions:

  • Customer service: Demonstrate excellent customer service to all patients, clinicians, employees, visitors, ect. Assure office is operating in an efficient well organized and professional manner, responsible for evacuations when needed.
  • Prepare correspondents and all applicable reports. Maintain schedules & calendars. Assist with billing. Maintain all admissions paperwork
  • Database administration: Enter track and update all necessary data and information on databases including but not limited to, Sharepoint, Acumed, Sungard, IEP Direct, NYEISS.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment including but not limited to, fax machines, copiers, printers. 
  • Assist department supervisors when needed.
  • General clerical duties: Typing, making copies, and filing. Cover for another role, including switchboard when needed. Listen to and return voicemails by end of the day. 
  • Any other duties as requested by your supervisors.

  • Ability to coordinate and oversee a busy office

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service

Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED

Experience2 years’ experience with customer service. Prior medical office experience preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical actions may include, but are not limited to; bending, kneeling, standing, squatting, reaching, printing, crawling, and running. 
  • Vision, speech, tactical and hearing senses adequate to perform job requirements.
