Performing Arts Camp Counselor 2024

The Performing Arts Camp Counselor is a seasonal position that will be working with campers that range from 5 to 13 years of age. The counselor must be enthusiastic, caring, and committed to providing an outstanding experience for the campers. They will be responsible for leading daily activities, maintaining good communication with parents and campers, supervision and leadership of their camp group and planning camp activities.

For our Dance Camps, the focus is in quality instruction of a variety of dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, poms and hip-hop. The Dance Counselor will be responsible for assisting in the leadership of a wide variety of large group and small group activities. For our Theatre Camps (Broadway Bound and Star Makers) the counselor will be responsible for assisting in the production, leading activities, and helping with theatre element creation as well as supervising the children in this camp. All individuals applying should have experience in the performing arts.

Qualifications:
The Performing Arts Camp Counselor position is open to all qualified applicants 16 years of age (as of June 1, 2024) and older. Experience working with children preferred. Must feel comfortable leading group activities with children grades 1-8.

Hours:
The program runs approximately 8 am - 4 pm (depending upon camp assignment), Monday - Friday, from June 10th – August 2nd, 2024. No absences are granted for this 8 week program. Camp training is mandatory and will begin as early as June 3, 2024.

Salary: 
$15 per hour depending on experience
