Position Title: Accounting Coordinator
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Accounting Director
Accounts Payable (30%)
Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
Process due invoices for payments
Process transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
Performing recordkeeping and preparing financial reports.
Accounts Receivable (30%)
Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Create invoices according to company practices; submit invoices to customers.
Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contact delinquent accountholders to request payment.
Reconcile accounts receivable monthly.
Prepare financial reports
Assist in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
Assist Accounting Director in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Payroll (30%)
Collect and verify timesheets.
Enter employee information and payroll data into the system.
Answer employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll.
Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions.
Process new employees, promotions, and terminations.
Issue statements detailing earnings and deductions.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Maintain and update payroll records.
Prepare periodic payroll reports.
Billing (10%)
Serve as a support to the billing team
Process claims for billing
Issue reminder and final notice statements to dilatory and delinquent
Record and update all payment in accounting software
Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc.
Create account statements for customers
Follow all work processes, procedures, while maintaining compliance to the rules and regulations set forth by the company.
Protect and keep all patient and hospital information confidential.
