Position Type/Standard Work Hours: Full-time/40 hours per week
Summary/Objective:
The Systems Administrator will provide support to the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) in Quantico, VA, by Performing all industry standard database administration roles and responsibilities including creating, installing, configuring, modifying, and tuning databases on the five AFOSI enclaves.
- Manage and maintain database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle and MS SWL.
- DMS management tasks include creating and managing users and roles, assigning permissions, capacity planning, troubleshooting and restoration.
- Ensure that databases are backed up and can be recovered.
- Assign user permissions and roles, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Certified at IAT Level II (e.g., CCNA Security, Security , or other certification satisfying DoD 8570 certification requirements)
- Experience with development and maintenance tools and technologies such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL, Linux/Unix Servers, TomCat.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
This position does not supervise the work of others.
