As a Senior Communication Strategist, you will act as a communication consultant to our clients and a key contributor to the development and implementation of measurable, results-based communication and change management strategies. This is a client-facing role, serving as a client lead for bswift Communication Agency clients. This role’s top priority is ensuring our clients’ success.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in employee benefit communications, with a focus on internal communications, change management, and marketing. The ideal candidate also has significant experience in creating strategies and managing communication during times of change and transition (technology implementations, rebranding, etc.) and developing communication strategies to support those strategies.
Responsibilities
• Act as a trusted advisor, engaging directly with clients to understand their specific benefit communication needs, objectives, and challenges.
• Develop and pitch comprehensive multi-channel benefit communication strategies aligned with client goals and organizational objectives.
• Drive sales initiatives by identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships, and participate in sales pursuits with prospective clients.
• Act as client lead by providing client management and leadership for large, complex client engagements, managing project budget, scope, and scope creep.
• Partner with assigned communications account manger to oversee the deliverable development process to ensure seamless execution.
• Create tailored benefit communication plans and materials suited to each client's unique requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR professionals, benefits specialists, bswift client services team and implementation teams, in-house writers, graphic designers and translators, as well as with external suppliers, to deliver high-quality, effective communication and change management solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to employee benefits to enhance service offerings.
• Establish metrics and performance indicators to measure the success and impact of benefit communication strategies. Generate reports and analysis for clients for each project.
• Continuously assess and refine benefit communication approaches based on feedback, industry developments, and evolving client needs.
Requirements
• 7 - 10 years of experience in employee benefits communication and change management.
• Knowledge of current communication and change management trends and related technology (e.g. digital and social media), and proven ability to apply that knowledge to client-focused solutions.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, demonstrating creativity and technical expertise.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and carry out well-defined assignments, according to established guidelines, with little to no supervision.
• Experience in client management.
• Experience working in teams, and proven ability to leverage other internal resources (e.g. colleagues across different teams) to address challenges.
• Experience working with in-house designers, agencies or other creative partners.
• Proven ability to analyze, organize and interpret information and draw conclusions in a logical, systematic way.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Consulting experience (e.g. traditional HR consulting firms) is a bonus.
Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
