Purpose

Oversee the financial operations of the Romulus Plant, including supervision of the Senior Plant Accountant and Senior Account Clerk. Responsible for financial reporting to corporate, budget forecasting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial functions such as cost and general accounting activities, product costing, capacity planning, and time studies.
• Analyze operational costs and variances.
• Maintain and enhance various accounting systems.
• Prepare special studies and projects accurately and promptly.
• Supervise staff members.
• Manage the payroll system.
• Contribute to the Management Team's responsibilities for planning, budgeting, and implementing TQM and the Best Methods program.

Job Requirements

Demonstrate expertise in financial analysis, cost and general accounting, manufacturing accounting systems, standard cost accounting, and budgeting.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Experience

5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions

Primarily in a plant environment with occasional plant tours and travel as necessary. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Physical Demands

Requires sitting and using hands to handle objects or controls. Frequent reaching with hands and arms. Occasional bending, walking, balancing, talking, and hearing. May need to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Schedule

Standard work hours of 8 hours per day, 5 days a week on an assigned shift. Overtime or irregular hours may be required, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions and solve problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.

Salary: $74,626.48 - $100,000.00 per year
