Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association - Rheumatology Department is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Bryn Mawr, PA
We are looking for a Medical Assistant with skills and experience in both front and back office. This position is with a well-established Rheumatology office. The role will support six physicians. Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check for employment.
Medical Assistant Position And Job Functions
- Perform basic Medical Assistant tasks, including but not limited to, vital signs, medication/injection administration, documentation in EMR, phone triage, scheduling, prior authorizations, as well as other clerical office duties.
- Desire 1-2 years recent work experience in Medical Assistant or customer service role, new graduates are also welcomed
- Organized, self-motivated individual who enjoys a busy paced office
- Rate is commensurate based on experience
- Must be a team player but can also work independently as needed
Other Qualifications
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Must be able to effectively utilize EMR applications to perform work. Must be able to effectively prioritize workload among frequent interruptions with competing priorities. Knowledge of the healthcare environment required.
Education/Licenses/Certifications
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program preferred
- Current CPR Certification is a plus
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred, not required

This is a full-time, permanent role and applicant must be available during all operating hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (7:45AM-3:45PM), Thursday (8:45AM-4:45PM), and Friday from 7:45AM-12:00PM.
