Position: Housekeeper
General Description: Perform daily and scheduled housekeeping tasks such as floor 1nopping, wall and woodwork washing, restroom cleaning, dusting, and other typical housekeeping tasks
Qualifications:
- Good physical and mental health
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Must be willing to perform the. same task day after day in a courteous, cheerful manner
- Must have i1iitiative and good judgment·
- Must be familiar with the physical arrangement of the complete facility and strive to keep equipment in its place
- Must be neat in appearance at all thnes and interested in Residents and their happiness
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be willing to work scheduled times and weekends, if needed
Responsibilities:
- Use the housekeeping equipment, such as mops, brooms, buffers, and other necessary equipment required for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls and furniture
- Empty waste baskets, ash-trays, dust furniture, and damp dust fixtures mirrors and wash windows (per schedule)
- Clean each bathroom, sc1ubbing the toilet inside and outaide daily and as needed. Wipe down all fixtures in the bathroom.
- Clean each of the shower rooms daily, including the toilet
- Clean the guest bathrooms, employee bathroom and dirty utility room daily.
- Weekly, clean and dust the clean utility room and the medicationroom
- Replace paper supplies and hand soap in all the dispensers
- Prepare vacated rooms for use
- Must bec01ue familiar with the physical arrange1uent of the complete facility and strive to keep equipment in its place.
- May do some exterior work, as cleaning the front porch and patio areas and wash outside windows
- Perform additional duties as specified by the Supervisor and/or Administrator
