As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Data/Financial Analyst with a strong background in SQL and experience to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze financial data from various sources including databases, spreadsheets, and accounting software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design data models and reporting frameworks that meet the needs of internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain automated processes for data cleansing, validation, and visualization to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial statements, transactional data, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to optimize financial performance, mitigate risks, and achieve business objectives.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to accounting standards and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, computer science, or related field.
- Proven experience working as a Data Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role within a CPA firm or financial services environment.
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such Power BI, SSRS, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP and CCH Practice Management is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality in financial analysis and reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
