The successful Associate candidate will be on track to obtain their CPA designation. This is an exciting opportunity for you to leverage your accounting expertise and skill set to grow a top 100 accounting firm. What Your Day Looks Like
Review adequacy of clients' internal control systems, document the system for internal files, and perform testing to verify the accuracy of the data provided
Import various data sets including working trial balances from clients' files to Brown Edwards' workpaper files
Prepare workpapers, posts entries to working trial balance, and prepare drafts of clients' financial statements
What You Need To Be Successful
Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or related field
Working towards CPA designation
Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, SSARS, and financial statement disclosures
Understanding of corporate, partnership, and individual tax laws
