We're excited to continue solidifying that foundation as we are looking for a Property & Casualty CSR to join our growing team in Mankato, MN.

The Commercial Lines CSR provides customer service and works with the insurance producers from the application process to policy analysis including but not limited to endorsements, routine coverage questions, problem solving, renewal control, and preparation of formal proposals.

Maintain and update customer’s files for consistency and in accordance with agency standards. Knowledge of basic insurance products and pricing tools are essential.

This position will be supervised by the Commercial Lines Manager and will act as an assistant for the insurance producers and other management staff and provide backup / assistance to other CSR staff personnel as needed.

What You’ll Do :

Attend self-development and continuing education courses as requested by agency including obtaining a CISR designation.

Build, expand and solidify relationships with clients

Assist in gathering updated information, risk management recommendations, and complete applications to renew commercial accounts and to deliver proposals and renewals to the client

Request renewals, endorsements and other needed data from the companies and insureds

Prepare certificates, auto ID cards, endorsements, policies, lost policy releases, account summaries and account balance status as appropriate.

Check new and renewal polices, endorsements, and audits for accuracy and input transactions to generate billing invoices.

Assist producers in file reviews for additional sales opportunities and rounding out of accounts to recognize customers uninsured exposures and service needs.

Any other duties and special projects as needed in meeting or exceeding agency goals.

What You Need : :

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Licensed or able to be licensed in property / casualty

Typing skills of at least 60 wpm

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

High school diploma or GED

Exceptional telephone demeanor

Preferred :

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in business or related discipline

1-3 years of experience in a similar position
