The Buyer/Planner Production Materials supports the production in the acquisition of parts, supplies, goods, materials, and services required to assure on-time deliveries to the companys production line. This position ensures that the correct inventory is on hand to prevent any delays in production or ability to meet customer demand. This role also coordinates production planning with BIUSProduction Scheduling by collaborating anticipated and actual required production line supplies.

**Duties and Responsibilities** Production Material Purchasing and Planning

* Procure all material from domestic and international suppliers to support the production plan with orders placed through SAP and Zycus Purchasing tool

* Communicate all changes in material price or lead times to internal departments and management and update SAP to reflect the changes

* Identify and resolve any parts issues that may result in delay or prevention of the production plan being created by BIUS Production Scheduling

* Develop safety stock levels through analysis of historic demand and future forecast

* Plan and monitor material receipts to maintain on time deliveries, eliminate stock out levels, and eliminate the need for production changeovers

* Manage inventory levels to prevent stock outs or excessive inventory

* Work with suppliers to resolve issues with defective materials, quality, and invoicing

Reporting

* Run reports in each Inventory system for assigned product line and review SAP stock numbers to BWINs stock numbers and send discrepancies to Inventory Control to review

**Qualifications** Education

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business preferred Experience

Minimum 3 years Supply Chain planning experience in production facility with multiple production lines Software/Technical Skills

* SAP Purchasing & Order Tracking Modules

* Zycus Purchasing Tools

* MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

* Strong analytical skills

* Solid attention to detail and organizational skills

* Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time and consistent follow through

* Ability to demonstrate leadership skills, teamwork, innovation and forward planning
