The Senior Receiver, Scrap Processing and Recycling is accountable for proper dispensation and disposal of all recyclable and waste materials that are created throughout the facility.

This position is also responsible for trailers of materials that are to be shipped, to be loaded properly for safe delivery by the carriers.

Additionally, this position will alert management of any necessary equipment issues or malfunctions that could hinder the needed processes in the Recycling / Scrap area.

Recycling

• This position is accountable for the gathering of recyclables, waste and wood materials from the production area drop points / staging points
• To place all product in designated bins or containers for proper dispensation
• Operating the cardboard baler by using the cage lift for loading into. To load this product onto trailer when baled
• Operating the Styrofoam densifier and crushing / grinding mechanism. To load this product onto trailer when densified blocks pallet is full
• Responsible for the gathering and disposal of all waste material that is to be place into trash compactor. Call for this dumpster to be swapped when full
• Responsible for operating the tugger to retrieve all full cardboard cages and return them to the designated drop areas when emptied

Quality

• Report problems or abnormal issues found with unit, parts, or equipment
• Understand and follow the 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) principles

Safety

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safety policies, programs, and procedures
• Use equipment & materials properly in a safety approved manner
• Follow housekeeping & maintenance rules

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or G.E.D.)
• 3 years receiving experience
• 1 year working in a warehouse environment delivering products and parcels
• Ability to use hand jack, cart, or powered industrial equipment to deliver product
• Able to work independently under pressure and be a team player
• Excellent communication skills (written / verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Organizational ability and follow-through
• Strong attention to detail
• Computer skills and hands-on knowledge of receiving, distribution, and inventory systems -
