Food Service Supervisor
Brooklyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is currently seeking a Food Service Supervisor for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in healthcare food services, food preparation, and supervising a diverse workforce.
DUTIES:
- Plans, assigns & supervises the work of Food Service Staff
- Schedules and assigns staff, prepares department payroll for data entry
- Supervises the storage & care of food and supplies
- Oversees the cleaning of the kitchen, storage, & dining areas, and equipment
- Checks residents trays for accuracy with a specified menu; assists with meal service at times
- Menu ticket modification, printing meal tickets, menu and food preference data input
- Coordinates and plans food preparation activities for special events
- Works hand in hand with Rabbis to ensure staff adheres to kosher regulations
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior Supervisor experience
- At least one year in an LTC/Rehab facility as a Food Service Supervisor
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- NYS food service certification
