Bronze is an innovative hospitality experience serving a globalized menu representative of the travels of Alonzo Bronze, who traded spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques on behalf of Africa and its diasporic colonies.

Bronze is currently recruiting a reliable and efficient bartender to mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the bar and in the restaurant.

Bronze is an exciting new venture joining H st NE. With the innovative minds behind D.C. staples such as Maketto, Spoken English, Brothers and Sisters, and other restaurants, Bronze is an opportunity to join a creative team on a new and exciting journey.

Responsibilities

Specific duties are listed, but not limited to :

• Working in conjunction with and reporting to Bronze management team
• Taking responsibility for stock control, including ordering, maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation, acceptance of and return of any sub-standard items
• Ensuring food & beverage service is to the specification of Steps of Service
• Maintaining knowledge of new menu items, changes in procedures for current menu items and review of any allergy / diet considerations
• Keeping up to date with licensing legislation (ABRA Managers license / DOH certification) and taking legal responsibility for the premises
• Ensuring the bars are operated in a smooth and orderly fashion on a daily basis as well as adequately stocked
• Ensuring the customer experience standards are set and expectations are met, that customers are served promptly and courteously
• Ensuring all guest feedback is dealt with in a professional and efficient manner to minimize negative impressions of Bronze DC
• Maintaining monthly tracking and inventories of all spirits, wine, beer, mixers and any other items designated as stock to be monitored by the Beverage Director
• Hosting and participating in all scheduled meetings and training sessions with staff
• Maintaining knowledge of and adherence to Bronze, LLC. procedures and policies.

Requirements and Experience :

• Experience working in a high volume restaurant with a sense of urgency
• Must be available nights and weekends
• Ability to lift 35lbs
• General math skills
• Be available to become TIPS certified.
