BROCKTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS is Hiring a Support Staff for Smart Start Extended Day Programs Near Brockton, MA
Contingent upon continued funding and program enrollment, the Smart Start Extended Day program is seeking support staff for the 2023-2024 school year, during vacation and summer days. The K-5 programs are located at the Angelo, Arnone, Baker, Brookfield, Davis, Downey, George, Gilmore, Hancock, Kennedy, and Raymond Schools and the K-7 program is located at the Davis School. This is a twelve-month program that may require working during school and summer vacations.QUALIFICATIONS:1.Successful school-based experience working with children2.Excellent communication skills3.CPR/First Aid Certifications preferred4.Previous experience working in the Smart Start Extended Day Program PreferredDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Assist students with successful completion of homework assignments2.Plan and implement academic enrichment, recreation and project-based activities3.Interact with students in a supportive manner to develop positive values and enhance self- esteem4.Work as a team with other staff members and site coordinators to create a safe and enriching learning environment5.Adhere to required EEC regulations for funded programs including a Background Record Check (every three years), an annual completion of EEC Essentials Training Modules, and submission of requested staff records to a confidential file in Human Resources6.Other duties assigned by the site supervisors and the Coordinator of Smart Start Extended Day ProgramsCOMPENSATION: Community Schools pay schedule and a one-time stipend for fingerprint fee and for completion of the EEC Essential Trainings seriesFUNDING SOURCE: Community Schools
