Moran, Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT: COMMUNITY SCHOOLS SUMMER 2024- BILINGUAL FACILITATORSBilingual facilitators are needed to assist with the registration of students for the Community Schools – 2024 Summer Programs. Positions are contingent upon funding and adequate student enrollment.The Bilingual Community Facilitators will assist with the recruitment and registration processes by communicating with families and collecting required documentation Up to ten (10) hours will be provided for preparation, recruitment, and documentation prior to program start.QUALIFICATIONS:1.ELL’s language proficiency – Cape Verdean/Portuguese, Haitian/French, or Spanish2.Experience in interpretation and family engagement activities3.Must commit to work the entire program and attend trainingDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Prior to program start, assist with the recruitment and registration processes by communicating with families and collecting required documentation2.Communicate with families about attendance and transportation3.Provide link between family and program through regular communication4.Other duties as directed by the Director of Community Schools, the program coordinator, and/or site supervisorsAll Bilingual Facilitator positions begin 30 minutes before the start of the program and end 30 minutes after the program closure.
