Overview

A lovely family of four in Greenwich, CT is seeking a live-in nanny to help care for their two daughters ages 1-year and 2-years-old. A self-contained cottage on the property will be provided with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and small living area. The family are ideally wanting the nanny to work 40 hours per week, and have flexibility with the schedule, as it will often include weekends. The nanny would always have 2 consecutive days off, and if they are working later in the evening, the hours would be balanced with a later start time the following day. 

It is important that the nanny has previous experience working with children of toddler age and up-wards. The duties will include everything related to childcare including, but not limited to, preparing healthy meals for the children, ensuring their bedrooms and playroom are clean and organized, and handling their laundry.

The nanny should have excellent communication skills, be a self-starter, warm, and compassionate. Above all they should have a genuine love for children, and always put them first, helping to provide a stimulating environment, and encouraging the children to meet educational milestones by organizing fun, age-appropriate activities, and play-dates.

This is a sole charge position, but Mum works part-time and does like to be involved in the children's day-to-day lives. There may be an opportunity when she takes one or both children for part of the day, and during this time the nanny should be proactive, tidying areas, and preparing meals, etc.The nanny should hold a clean driver’s licence as they will have use of the family car to transport the children to activities or run errands for the family. Their eldest daughter will be starting nursery in September and will attend 5 half days each week. The nanny will share the responsibility of driving her to and from the nursery with the Mum.

They are a flexible and accommodating family and are seeking someone who is like minded and a team-player to join them and work together with a mutual respect. The nanny should be travel ready as the family travels frequently both domestically and internationally, including to their residence abroad, and would like the nanny to accompany them. 

The family also have a housekeeper who takes care of the day-to-day running of the home. This is a pet friendly household, as the family own several animals including dogs.
