Overview

A lovely couple is seeking a part-time housekeeper to assist at their home on the Upper East Side. The schedule for this role will be 3-4 days per week- Monday would be required, and Wednesday and Friday are ideal, but they can be flexible for the right person. The hours would be approximately 9am-4pm. Duties for this role include all housekeeping for a 3400 square foot apartment, including deep cleaning and tidying, and some laundry. This is a very hands-on job so candidates should feel comfortable with heavy deep-cleaning. The family has a second person who works in the afternoon and handles most of the laundry and ironing, as well as kitchen prep. The family is seeking someone with experience in a high-end home who is comfortable caring for fine fabrics and furnishings, and is able to come in and take charge without oversight. The principal is home often, and they are looking for someone who knows how to read the room and is able to be unobtrusive while working. The ideal candidate for this role will be proactive, discreet, and detail oriented. 

The family has a non-shedding medium dog, so candidates should be comfortable with some pet care including feeding and walking. The family travels quite a bit, and no travel is involved as part of this role. The family is offering a rate of $35/hr. for this role.
