Overview

A wonderful family in Austin, Texas is seeking a full-time career nanny for their active children ages 2, 5, and 8. The typical schedule will be Monday through Friday from 1pm to 8:30pm or 1pm to 8pm with flexibility to work an occasional weekend day.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of full-charge care
• Working in a collaborative manner with both parents
• Child-related meal prep/cooking, laundry, tidying up
• Driving children to/from all activities (nanny van provided)
• Plan and execute fun and engaging projects with the children
• Follow parent’s guidance for discipling the children
• Ensure safety and well-being of the children at all times

Qualifications

• Experience with multiples
• Ability to be firm yet mindful
• A true passion for children and knowledge of childhood milestones
• Understanding and knowing how to navigate a work-from-home parent’s schedule and privacy needs
• Infant experience– the family may be expanding
• Fluent in Spanish (not required but would be a huge plus)

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to swim and be comfortable around water
• CPR and First-Aid certified
• Good communicator
• Intuitively know when to step-in and when to allow for family time
• Pet friendly– family has a small Yorkie
• One child has a latex allergy, must be comfortable ensuring protocols are kept
• Professional and kind demeanor

Salary and Benefits

• $35 per hour
• One week PTO negotiable
• Some holidays
