The Payroll Administrator is responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of payroll administration in accordance with best practices, legal requirements, and organizational priorities. As the Payroll Administrator, you'll have primary accountability for accurate and timely payroll processing and payroll records management. This position serves as primary resource for managing employee payroll data and reporting needs for internal and external stakeholders. In addition, the Payroll Administrator is responsible for identifying system issues, tracking internal payroll trends, and effectively collaborating across functions to ensure process alignment. The Payroll Administrator reports to the Controller.

Candidate qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or a related field required.
  • At least five years’ experience in lead or secondary lead role in managing payroll operations for an organization of 500 or more employees required. 
  •  Advanced knowledge of UltiPro or UKG Pro strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with third party auditors from regulatory bodies preferred.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent time-management skills, including the ability to work productively
    under pressure, in an environment of frequent interruptions.
  • Demonstrates proficient computer skills, including Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, Microsoft Word,
    and data systems.

Job details:

  • Compensation: Range $60,000-$70,000yr.
  • Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, 3 weeks paid time off in the first year including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day (PTO increases with tenure); 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here)
  • Location: Must be within reasonable driving distance to Chicago and available to work from home office at 200 West Monroe Street (downtown Chicago loop) 2x/week.
  • Schedule: Full-time, salaried; regular business hours (Hybrid).
  • Student Loan Forgiveness: Brightpoint is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
