University Human Resource Management (UHRM) is committed to customer service, efficiency, and ensuring University leaders have the capacity to manage their respective units. The HR Associate Director leads an HR team consisting of HR Specialists and HR Analysts. The HR Associate Director is the primary point of contact for departments with HR needs, including but not limited to job posting and recruitment, employment eligibility, pre-hire checks and hiring, onboarding, employee life cycle, performance management, and employee relations/liability management. The HR Associate Director advises departments regarding University policies and Federal and Utah state compliance and supports the University of Utahs goals and mission. Partners with university leadership on business and people initiatives; driving improvement and engagement activities, assisting with the alignment of organizational initiatives, and implementing employment strategies.While this position is intended to work on campus, it also has the ability to telework remotely for a portion of each week. An employee hired into this role who telecommutes will be responsible for providing space, telephone, printing, networking and/or internet capabilities at the telecommute location and sign the University of Utah Telecommuting Agreement.
