Bright Light Academy, LLC is Hiring an Assistant Teacher - Toddler Near Pittsburgh, PA
Bright Light Academy is seeking staff to assist in our two year old's classroom. The ideal candidates will have two years experience working with young children, be a team player and have a passion for learning and growing in the field of early childhood education.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the lead and assistant teachers to assist and implement daily lesson plans and activities
Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment for toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-k students
Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines
Provide individual and group support to children as needed
Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress
Qualifications:
Have two years experience working with children
Able to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks
18 years or older and legally able to work in the United States
A love for children and a desire to work with toddlers
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear & sit on the floor with children
Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment
This position is a great opportunity for those interested in expanding their experience in the field of early childhood education. While this listing is FULL-TIME, staff work a FOUR-DAY work week. For those with 2500 hours of experience, pay starts at $15.00. For an experienced educator with a a CDA, a non-related associates or bachelor's degree, pay is up to $17.25 (relative to education & experience). Full time staff also receive paid time off, sick days, annual raises & reduced child care.
