Bright Light Academy, LLC is Hiring an Assistant Teacher - Infant Classroom Near Pittsburgh, PA
Bright Light Academy is seeking staff to assist in our infant classroom. The ideal candidate will have two years experience working with young children, be a team player and have a passion for learning and growing in the field of early childhood education.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the lead and assistant teachers to assist and implement daily lesson plans and activities.
- Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment for toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-k students.
- Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
- Provide individual and group support to children as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.
Qualifications:
- Must have two years experience working with children (preferably under age two yeas).
- Able to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the United States.
- A love for children and a desire to work with infants & toddlers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear & sit on the floor with children.
- Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
This position is a great opportunity for those interested in expanding their experience in the field of early childhood education. While this position is FULL-TIME, YEAR-ROUND we do have some flexibility. For those with 2500 hours of experience, pay starts at $15.00. For an experienced educator with a a CDA, a non-related associates or bachelor's degree AND at least 2500 hours of experience, pay is up to $17.25 (relative to education & experience), with increases in pay for good performance at the end of a probationary period & annually after that. Bright Light Academy is open five days a week, but staff work a FOUR-DAY work week!
