Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bioinformatics/ RNA-sequencing of Chronic Lung Diseases

The Channing Division of Network Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) is looking for an exceptional postdoctoral fellow to advance research in respiratory disease, with a focus on bioinformatics and integrative genomics, including RNA-sequencing and single cell sequencing in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), under the supervision of the PI, Dr. Craig Hersh.
The fellow will work on one of several NIH-funded projects including analysis of RNA-seq in more than 4000 blood samples and 1500 lung tissue samples, with corresponding clinical, imaging, and whole genome sequencing data. In addition, these projects will be generating new RNA-seq. single cell sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics data in human samples and animal models. Fellows will work with an interdisciplinary team, consisting of geneticists and genetic epidemiologists, biostatisticians, computational biologists, and translational scientists and clinicians.
