Prepare the payables for payment, set up project budgets and maintain product accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regular reconciliations via QuickBooks
• Must have experience and ability to use QuickBooks.
• Prepare monthly reports P/L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements and Budget
• Work w CPA on annual close outs
• Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions.
• Update and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system QuickBooks
• Recording of debits and credits
• Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers.
• Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements.
• Monitor any variances from the projected budget.
• Manage the Accounting Intern.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Demonstrated bookkeeping experience.
• Proficient in Quickbooks
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Must be detailed oriented, accurate and can organize financial records.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Successful completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
• Associate degree, in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Ability to pass a background check.
• 5 years bookkeeping required.
