Briar Cliff University is Hiring a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Near Sioux, IA
- Program design, guiding student-athletes through a regimen of exercises to optimize performance and decrease injury potential
- Assisting with the oversight of sport-specific conditioning programs
- Teaching proper weightlifting, speed, agility and conditioning techniques
- Encouraging and motivating student-athletes to train and perform to their utmost potential
- Scheduling athletic teams and supervising workouts of student-athletes
- Player development, travel, compliance with NAIA regulations
- Assisting in the implementation of rehab programs prescribed by the doctors and sports medicine staff. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
- Bachelor's Degree, Master’s degree preferred
- NSCA-CSCS and/or CSCCa-SCCC Certification (or equivalent)
- Minimum of five years (5) related work experience
- Demonstrated experience in administering a successful strength and conditioning program at the collegiate level
- Thorough knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations.
- Must be proficient in the instruction, assessment, evaluation, and supervision of multiple weightlifting techniques
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of fitness equipment
- Must have a positive mental attitude and the ability to communicate effectively and work well with students, coaches, faculty, staff, and the community.
- Must be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team. Must be computer literate.
