NWIA Bone, Joint & Sports Surgeons is Hiring a Certified Athletic Trainer Near Spencer, IA
NWIA Bone, Joint & Sports Surgeons / Sports Medicine Northwest is seeking a full time certified athletic trainer to provide outreach athletic training services to high schools located in Northwest Iowa. Duties include weekly visits to each school to provide injury evaluation and treatment, documentation of patient encounters, athletic event coverage, Saturday morning injury evaluation clinic coverage, and occasional coverage of camps/events. Excellent work/life balance with flexible schedule makes this position unique in that there are no additional medical clinic requirements. Starting salary is $50,000 with a sign on bonus of $5000. NWIA Bone, Joint & Sports Surgeons is located in the heart of the gorgeous Iowa Great Lakes, also commonly known as Okoboji. Several glacier-carved lakes have made the area a popular tourist destination throughout Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Nebraska.
Not many communities compare to the quality of life and amenities located here. Throughout the summer, water sports abound, from boating, fishing, swimming, sailing and parasailing to kayaking, wakeboarding, stand-up paddle boarding and diving. Popular land-based activities include biking, jogging, rollerblading and walking on more than 30 miles of hard-surfaced trails; camping; or enjoying a lakefront amusement park, outdoor and indoor live music, eight golf courses, go-cart race track, art galleries, live theater, museums, nature center, several restaurants and nightclubs and more. The winter season remains active with snowmobiling, ice skating, cross country skiing, and the annual University of Okoboji Winter Games festivities.
Out-of-town excursions are located within an easy drive: Spirit Lake is 1.5 hours from Sioux Falls, SD; 2.5 hours from Minneapolis, MN; and 3.5 hours from Des Moines, IA.

Job Requirements
BOC certification. Must be a member in good standing with the NATA. Excellent communication skills. Organization and time management skills. Must have reliable transportation and drivers license.
