Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal who would like to work in a flexible hybrid schedule. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will provide essential support to our attorneys in all phases of the litigation process. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently is a plus. If interested, please e-mail your confidential resume.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case materials
- Assist with drafting and preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel for scheduling depositions, hearings, and trials
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists
- Review and summarize deposition transcripts, medical records, and other relevant documents
- Conduct factual investigations and interviews with clients and witnesses
- Assist attorneys in preparing for settlement negotiations or mediation sessions
- Perform administrative tasks such as managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and maintaining correspondence
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Litigation Paralegal is a plus
- Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court rules
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficient in using legal research tools such as Westlaw
- Experience with document management systems like iManage or similar software
- Ability to assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings
- Knowledge of e-filing procedures in state and federal courts
