Job Skills:

- Greater than 3 years experience in civil litigation.

- Experienced with trial.

- Working knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure.

- Experience drafting Meet and Confer responses.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Must be well versed in both federal and state court procedure and filing requirements, to include E-Filing in federal court.

- Research proficient, pre-trial prep, and trial assistance experience required.

- Experience handling multiple attorneys with full caseloads.

- Document production and organization a must.

- Experience with document management system required

- Paralegal Certificate Required

Job duties:

- Propound and respond to discovery.

- Prepare substantive responses for Plaintiff and review Defendant’s responses.

- Prepare documents for filing with the state and federal court.

- Draft correspondence and regularly communicate with clients, experts, and plaintiff/defense counsel in an effective and courteous manner.

- Assist with pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits.

- Bring a team-oriented and positive attitude to our Los Angeles office.

- Organize records, documents, correspondence, and files into a manageable format.

- Coordinate heavy scheduling and calendaring for attorney meetings, court deadlines, depositions, etc.

Work Location: Hybrid, but remote position for the most part

Part-time position that can lead to full-time position.
