We are looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician to add to our team to perform a variety of tasks including prepping and monitoring all patients for surgery, blood draws, urinalysis, ear cytology, controlled substance logging, and communicating with the doctor and the clients. Our workday is 8am - 6:00pm Mondays through Thursdays. We average 30 surgeries per day but perform as many as 50 on some days.
We need a veterinary technician that is not only motivated, but who understands and supports the importance of spay and neutering not only for the pet's health, but as a means of keeping dogs and cats from entering the county impoundments and animal shelters.
Candidate must be mature, reliable, able to work with the public and other nonprofit groups and their members and volunteers in a professional and helpful manner at all times.
We are looking for a team player that is able to work well with co-workers even at stressful times as this is vital to our success.
*Pay starts at $17 for the first 90 days and goes up based on experience/performance.
