Brevard Spay-Neuter Clinic is Hiring a HQHVSN Veterinarian Surgeon Near Palm, FL

Brevard Spay-Neuter Clinic is actively seeking a full-time associate veterinarian to be the doctor on record for our fast-paced and growing clinic. We have been serving the area since 2007 and became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2018. Our ideal candidate would have a passion for rescue and helping the community, be a great team player with excellent communication skills, and have a positive attitude. We offer a positive work environment with a strong support staff that has a passion for helping animals no matter their situation.

We offer 30-35 sterilization surgeries each day, which include publicly owned cats and dogs, 501(c)(3) rescue cats and dogs, and feral/community cats. We also offer surgeries such as prolapsed third eyelid repair, entropion surgery, enucleation, amputation, tumor removal, dental cleaning and extractions, and any other procedure that affects a pet’s quality of life that the attending veterinarian is comfortable with and able to perform. Blood work is available in-clinic, both pre-surgical and comprehensive panels, with our in-house Idexx Catalyst One Chemistry Analyzer and ProCyte One Hematology Analyzer. We also offer in-house urinalysis with the Idexx SediVue Dx Urine Sediment Analyzer. Digital X-ray is available as well.

Our clinic is open 4 days a week: Monday-Thursday. We are looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon 8:30am-5:30pm. The veterinary surgeon works closely with the practice managers to ensure that policies and protocols are accurate, up-to date, and in line with the standards of care. The veterinarian is responsible for examining animals pre-operatively to determine their ability to withstand surgery, performing all surgical procedures, examining animals post-operatively to ensure appropriate healing, and supervising post-operative rechecks and order of medical treatments as necessary to ensure complete surgical recovery. The only emergency duties are those associated with surgeries performed at our clinic.

We are located about 15 min from the beach and right across the street from the Indian River!

Full-time base salary is $135,000 per year with a great work-life balance, 2 weeks of PTO, health insurance, 401K, DEA license and license reimbursement, PLIT insurance reimbursement, and $1,500 CE reimbursement. Our 501(c)(3) status will allow you to qualify for Public Student Loan Forgiveness.

If you are looking for a 4-day work week and have a passion for helping animals in need, then please contact us!
