Position Type : Permanent Full Time / Part Time : Full Time

Open Until Filled.

$2,048.52 to $2,253.37 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center / Viera.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. with occasional evenings. Performs entry-level professional urban / regional planning work.

Work includes reviewing plans and collecting and analyzing data for planning projects related to the area of assignment and assisting in community planning and design studies.

REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree in Urban / Regional Planning OR Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Geography, Government, Political Science, Statistics, or a closely related field PLUS one (1) year of professional urban / regional planning experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Urban / Regional Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Statistics, or a closely related field PLUS six (6) months as a Brevard County Planner Intern OR Associate’s degree PLUS three (3) years of professional urban / regional planning experience.

Professional Planning experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment.
