$16.05 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area / Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Public Library.

Part-time / 25 hours per week. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings. Performs entry-level paraprofessional library work assisting in the Circulation section of the library and may be assigned to other sections of the library, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS : Successful completion of one (1) year of college coursework at an accredited college or university 30 semester (45 quarter) hours one (1) year ;

OR one (1) year of public library or customer service experience. Additional qualifying education and / or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : When usage statistics change, library employees may be assigned to another library. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
