Brentwood Bank is Hiring a Remote Training and Development Specialist

Summary of Basic Function:
This position is responsible for the knowledge and skill development of employees to meet the current and future business objectives and to meet the needs of the bank’s customers. The focus for this role is on retail and customer service but supports all roles within the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skills, knowledge, and technical gaps
  • Design, coordinate and deliver solutions that optimize employee performance and create strong learning outcomes
  • Facilitate engaging educational programs for employees through various communication methods including classroom, on the job, online, webinars, job aids and videos
  • Onboard new employees
  • Create onboarding roadmaps for each role
  • Write, review and update training materials, manuals, and job aids
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to create impactful learning solutions
  • Work with LOB leaders as needed to ensure teams are prepared for rollout of new products and systems
  • Support managers with the IDP process
  • Stay abreast of products and regulations
  • Train teams to policies, procedures, and processes
  • Inspect processes and assist teams to prepare for audits
  • Implement the strategic organizational goals with the content of all training programs
  • Manage required, regulatory training in various LMS systems for all staff ensuring all on-line trainings are assigned on time, completed, and recorded for auditing purposes
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Instructional Design, or related field experience is preferred
  • Three or more years of Training and Development experience
  • Three or more years of retail banking experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of banking compliance rules and regulations and operating procedures, preferred but not required (?)
  • Prior experience or the ability to learn core transaction system, debit card system, statement processing system, ATM/ITM machines and any other computer program or application pertinent to performing job duties.
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles
  • Experience with instructional design
  • Adequate experience with learning management software
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Effective training and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 products
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • This is a remote flexible (hybrid) role, and it is expected there will be both remote and office work. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   • Work may be performed in an office environment with normal noise levels.
  • Involves prolonged sitting and computer usage.
  • The position is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and incumbent will need to live within a commutable distance.
  • Willingness to work on-site at the Bank’s Training Center (Wexford)
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time to branches as needed
