Breakwater Enrichment Center is accepting applications for a part-time afterschool teacher in our vibrant
and dynamic School Year AfterCare Program.

About the Position:

We seek a creative, compassionate, and energetic AfterCare floater who has a strong interest in
child-centered learning and community building. AfterCare floaters support teachers in leading a variety
of art, science, building and/or active play activities that support student interests.

Our AfterCare and Enrichment programs serve children from Breakwater School as well as students from
surrounding public schools.

Schedule and Start Date:

Hours for the position are part-time and variable. School year hours are variable, based on candidates
availability: from 3 - 24 hours per week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 12:45 - 5:45 pm.
Opportunities for full time hours during vacation camp weeks in February, April, and June. The position
has a start date of mid to late August

Qualifications:

• History of work experience with children in Kindergarten through 5th grade
• Demonstrated ability to engage in positive relationships with staff, supervisors, children, and
