1. Maintain weekly department schedule. Document staff attendance and record time-off requests.

2. Attend and participate in trainings and staff meetings and resident care plans as required. Conduct Health Care staff meetings weekly.

3. Conduct monthly In-service training in nutritional terminology relating to specific diets, food safety and sanitation, temperature recording, customer service, employee relations.

4. Supervise Health Care dining service, monitor portion control, food waste, sanitation, and safety of food preparation.

5. Collect data for nutritional assessment and complete Minimum Data Set.

6. Source, hire, supervise, monitor, evaluate and provide direction to direct report, as needed. Provide professional growth and development; develop and communicate goals and objectives. Monitor and provide constructive feedback; conduct annual performance evaluation.

7. Inspect department regularly by physical tours to ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.

8. Test food by smelling and tasting to determine if properly cooked and palatability. Check food temperature to ensure foods are prepared and served at proper temperature, and document findings. Inspects plate presentation to ensure foods are served in an attractive and visually appealing manner. 9. Maintain database of the food program (Momentum) for accuracy of menu and diets, resident information and update with revisions. Seek new seasonal menus and create new menu cycles.

10. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment of the Health Care area and make recommendations for new equipment needed to provide nutritional services to the residents.

11. Respond to questions from facility personnel accurately and timely.

12. Maintain compliance with all BPHI policies, procedures and requirements. Maintain compliance with all federal and state laws. Maintain compliance with all agency regulatory guidelines and requirements.

13. Assist, guide and support supervisors with employee selection, review, evaluation and terminations.

14. Develop emerging leadership through professional growth and development.
