Progress your engineering career with the dominant provider of industrial valves, actuators, and related control products as an Electrical Design Engineer for Bray International in Houston, Texas. This is an ideal role in which to apply your hardware and circuit design experience, innovative thinking and electrical engineering prowess to research and develop new valve control, sensor, and IoT products. Attractive Sign-on Bonus included!
Join an elite and collaborative engineering team within the Controls Products section of the Bray International Technology Group and begin adding both depth and breadth to your career skills portfolio. We're a young, privately held company growing geographically and into new markets with new products. All this translates into opportunity. Unlike hierarchical companies that rigidly adhere to a job description, we're fluid enough to hire good engineers and find positions that allow them to excel. If your goal is to grow as fast and as far as your skills and ambition allow, there is no better place than Bray.
Responsibilities:
You'll be taking responsibility for individual elements of projects; design, develop and support of electronic and electro-mechanical products utilizing electrical engineering skills, creating and testing electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical models, and providing support to manufacturing. As Bray is a global company, some of the challenges you face are logistical. With our global design team spanning Houston, India and China, you might collaborate with a drafter in Bangalore and an engineer in China to create the prototype of a new product. You'll soon become adept at working across time zones, speaking to persons whose native language is not English and, quite likely, become more appreciative of other cultures. You'll also learn to juggle the realities of production and manufacturing where an urgent need on the factory floor to assemble a valve and finish a rush order competes with a long-term design project deadline that's two weeks out.
Qualifications:
Digital Architecture: peripherals, I/O external interfaces,
Microcontrollers - SPI, I2C, JTAG, BDM, SWD.
Design for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) – certifications/validation/verification testing - EMC/UL/CSA/ CE/FM.
Ability to run projects, working independently.
Bray recognizes, ratifies and rewards top performers, so whether you're now a registered Professional Engineer or on the path toward such registration, apply today.
