Braverhood is Hiring a Caregiver Near Brooklyn, NY

Job Overview:

We are looking for Sunday day time and after school care Monday through Wednesday for our 10-year-old daughter. Ideally, we would love someone who is looking to work Sundays from about 10 am - 6 pm and Monday - Wednesday from 2-8 pm. Schedule involves taking her to after school activities (swimming, running, speech therapy), going to the playground, making dinner and giving her a bath. Our daughter has a developmental disability and is nonverbal but understands everything. She is highly social, playful and deeply empathetic. And very funny! You are playful, silly and enjoy being outside. Also, a plus if you like the beach and swimming. This job is on the books. We look forward to hearing from you!

Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing

- Prepare meals and assist with feeding, adhering to dietary restrictions

- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, general clean up and organizing

- Engage in social activities and provide companionship

- Communicate with parents regarding successes and challenges

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in caregiving, ideally with a disabled

- Ability to engage in physical activity and play

- Knowledge of caregiving techniques and best practices

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Compassionate and patient demeanor

- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
