Overview:
We are currently seeking Event Workers to join our team in Leeds. As an Event Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of various events. This is a great opportunity for individuals with theater, hospitality, and guest services experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. With next day pay and a competitive rate of $15 per hour, this is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the events industry.
Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service to event attendees
- Assist with event setup and teardown, including arranging furniture, setting up equipment, and decorating
- Manage crowd control and ensure the safety of all attendees
- Handle cash transactions and operate cash registers during events
- Serve food and beverages to guests, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Assist with event coordination tasks such as ticketing, registration, and guest check-in
- Perform public speaking duties such as making announcements or guiding guests
- Resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise during events
Experience:
- Previous experience in theater, hospitality, guest services, or events management is highly desirable
- Experience working with children or in family-friendly environments is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse groups of people
- Comfortable handling cash and operating cash registers
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations
